California-born Tara Priya started off singing hooks on rap demos in LA (for the likes of Raekwon, Kendrick Lamar & Jay Rock) but soon moved to London to create her own blend of soul, pop & '90s hip-hop. Influenced by J. Dilla, Missy Elliot & Lauryn Hill, the Indian-Persian singer-songwriter is currently recording her debut UK album.
